Festive Woodland Cake + Cupcakes

We're excited to share a beautiful festive woodland cake and cupcakes display by guest contributor Amanda of A Few Cakes. She used baking supplies from our shop including the Meri Meri festive tree cake topper and cupcake kit along with some pretty sprinkles to create a winter woodland dessert display. I have been absolutely loving the Meri Meri festive tree cupcake kit and cake toppers from Bakers Party Shop that are so perfect for any winter wonderland themed party! Pastel colors are a personal favorite so I was excited to create this pretty woodland dessert display.

I baked the cupcakes directly in the liners and there was no issues of peeling, which  can be a problem with some liners. Once the cupcakes were fully cooled, I applied a thin layer of buttercream using a small offset spatula. I then poured the Silver Snowflake Sprinklefetti sprinkle mix into a bowl and dunked the cupcake right in so the sprinkles would cover the buttercream completely. I then piped a buttercream swirl using a large open star frosting tip over top and added some nonpareil in cool mint and blush pink. The pretty Meri Meri toppers were added as the perfect finishing touch to my woodland cupcakes.

To create a pretty display for my woodland cake and cupcakes I used mini silver party banners for the backdrop. The Sweet Tooth Fairy Cake Stand in light pink was the perfect compliment to my cake and cupcakes. Now if you want to skip making a cake the neat thing with this cake stand is it has attachments to make it into a tiered cupcake stand! Don't you love when products have multiple uses?! Scatter some sprinkles or confetti on your tabletop and there you have a magical woodland dessert display with just a couple extra elements.

I loved that the Meri Meri Festive Tree cake toppers also came with a star and a moon. It makes them perfect to use year round for a starry night themed party and the colors would be perfect for the summer or spring too! The star cake topper came in handy for some Christmas tree cakes I made as well! Just change up how you use them to create a completely different look!
