SANDING SUGAR

Sanding sugar is fine sugar that can be used to decorate sweets and is also used to rim cocktail glasses to give a pretty detail. The sugar crystal is slightly larger than basic white sugar and smaller than sparkling sugar. To add a little bling to your cocktail glass, use a lemon or lime wedge to wet the rim. Pour some sugar into a shallow bowl wide enough to fit the glass then roll the rim gently through the sugar and voilà! You will need ¼ - ½ teaspoon of sanding sugar per glass depending on the size.
