Easy Chocolate Friendsgiving Hostess Gift
We're sharing an easy chocolate Friendsgiving hostess gift idea with you! Our edible chocolate hostess gift project took no time at all and it is sure to impress! They are easy and elegant. Who wouldn't love to receive a chocolate gift as sweet as this?!
Supplies needed for Easy Chocolate Friendsgiving Hostess Gift:
Skill level: easy
mini decorating squeeze bottle or small icing bottle
Wilton cake decorating paint brushes
Thanksgiving treat tissue paper
chocolate candy melts (we used Ghirardeli dark chocolate melts)
Step 1: Melt your chocolate per package instructions. Fill a mini or small icing squeeze bottle depending on how many chocolates you are making
Step 2: Fill the cavities of your candy molds. Tap the mold lightly on the counter or table to help chocolate settle in the mold and to get out any air bubbles. If you are adding sprinkles to the backs of some don't fill all the way up, leave a little room for the sprinkles to rest on top of the chocolate.
Step 3: Sprinkle nonpareils on the backs of the chocolates you want to have a decorative finish to the back. We decided our leaves would look pretty with sprinkles and left the acorn backs plain. Allow chocolate to fully set. Place in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes to help the chocolate release more easily from the mold.
Step 4: Once your chocolates have been removed from the mold it is time to add some decorative details. Use edible glitters to give the chocolates some sparkle. We used the edible luster dust on a few of the acorn bottoms to give them some subtle color which can be painted on with a paint brush.
Step 5: Once your chocolates are decorated it is time to pack up your easy chocolate Friendsgiving hostess gifts. We used small treat tins with treat tissue to make the presentation more fun. They are the perfect size for gift giving. You can pack chocolates, fudge, mixed nuts and other small confections in them! Tie a piece of bakers twine or jute around the tin and you have a lovely gift to give all your friends and family at Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving.
Our chocolate leaves and acorns didn't take more than an hour from start to finish. They are a sweet an easy chocolate Friendsgiving hostess gift to let your friends and family know how grateful you are for them!
Cheers and happy Friendsgiving!
