Valentine Heart Boxes with Marbled Chocolates Assented with Fondant Roses by Johneris of Little Rose Desserts
I'm so excited to be part of this special Valentine's Day gifts project were I got to make homemade Valentine's Day chocolates. I think these are the prettiest chocolates I've ever made. Not only are they pretty but they're very delicious as the chocolates are made out of Ghirardelli dark and white gourmet chocolate melting wafers. To add some texture and crunch to the chocolates I added some tiny crisp rice pieces. I used round and square candy chocolate molds and created the marbled effect by alternately adding three different shades of chocolate in a bowl. Slightly stir the chocolate then added some of the chocolate to the mold, sprinkle in some of the tiny crisp rice pieces and then added more chocolate to fill the mold. I allowed the chocolate to set fully before taking them out of the mold.
The roses that decorate the tops of the chocolates are made by using white fondant in the assorted rose mold using the ball end fondant tool to press the fondant into the mold. The roses were painted with metallic edible paint in champagne gold and pink diamonds. Since these chocolates are good sized I used white midi white cupcake liners as candy cups. I filled my boxes and had the most beautiful boxes of chocolates to give my friends. They were pretty easy to make even though they look so fancy. Having my Valentine's Day gifts be made by me makes it even more special. The gold heart box kit was the perfect choice to package up my chocolates. The bottom of the heart box has slits in it were the ribbon threads through so once you place the lid on your box and tied the ribbon the bow stays put. Who will you surprise with a homemade Valentine's Day gift this year?
Valentine Heart Box with Nutella Chocolate Gems by Lexi of My Batter Fingers
If you're anything like me, you love a home made gift. I love making them, giving them, and let's be honest... receiving them too. When Esther was putting together this DIY Valentine's Day Gifts and Packaging project I was so excited to be a part of it. How many times have you gone to buy chocolates on Valentine's day and been totally disappointed? These cute chocolate gems are so easy to make and make an amazingly special gift for anyone in your world that you want to show some appreciation to on Valentine's Day or any day! I used the kraft heart candy box kit and the red heart candy box kit for my sweet project.
I used the faceted gem chocolate mold to make my chocolates and chose to fill my them with Nutella. I used a mix of white and milk chocolate coating. The white chocolate gems were embellished with luster dusts giving them a hint of color and shine. To achieve this effect use a large soft brush to dust the fully set chocolates. On the dark chocolate ones I wanted to do some metallic splatter so I used edible art paint in light silver, champagne gold and dark rose to splatter the tops matching with the luster dusts colors. I decided to make a few more chocolates using the mini hearts candy mold and double hearts candy mold. These could be added to the heart boxes or placed in little clear cellophane bags like chocolate confetti! I'm sure my hubby will love receiving some homemade chocolates this year!
Valentine Heart Box with Assorted Chocolates by Shay of Everyday Sprinkles
I love Valentine's day, I always have and everyone in my family knows it! I enjoy making valentines gifts for my daughters every year so I was happy to be a part of this special DIY Valentine's Day gifts and packaging project. Per usual, Bakers Party Shop is my one stop shop for all my holiday and party needs! They have so many options, including the new heart box kits that come with a heart box, a candy pad and a ribbon that actually stays put on the box. The dark brown heart candy box kit and the light pink heart candy box kit created the perfect presentation for the mini Chocolate's I made. They're the sweetest chocolates that anyone can make!
The assorted chocolate pieces candy mold I used was easy to use and had a few different shapes including hearts, roses, and presents with bows. I kept it simple and used Ghirardelli milk and white Chocolate. I colored the white chocolate with a few drops of the Artisan Accent Chocolate Chameleon rose candy color. It made a beautiful light pink shade. I added the chocolate to piping bags and filled each mold to the top and put them in the freezer for 10 minutes. They easily popped right out of the mold. I added more chocolate to a piping bag and drizzled chocolate on some of the hearts to give a little extra detail as well as adding a few white heart sprinkles to some. I love that anyone can make these and they look professional. I used mini white cupcake liners to hold my chocolates. They're the perfect valentines gift for my girls! I can't wait to give them to them!
Valentine Heart Box with Mini Cookies by Amanda of Eleven Fifteen Take Co.
If you’re a cookie artist looking for a whimsical way to wrap up Valentine’s Day cookies, these heart-shaped box kits are perfect! I filled my red heart candy box kit and light pink heart candy box kit with mini cookies made using some of the cutters from the Sweet Sugarbelle mini cutters set and nested rectangle cookie cutter set.
I made cookies in the shapes of chocolates and chocolate covered strawberries. The possibilities of designs you could make are endless with both sets of these cookie cutters. The cookies were iced with royal icing and allowed to fully dry before placing the ones I wanted to box in midi white cupcake liners. Cookies are a great alternative to those non-chocolate lovers and are just super fun and festive. These sets were fun to make and even more fun to give! Who could resist cookies especially mini cookies packed up so pretty!
We hope you got inspired to make your own Valentine's day gifts to give to the loved ones in your life. Our design team ladies shared so many pretty ideas! Our heart box kits make it easy for you to package up your sweet treats and gives you such a pretty presentation. All you need to do is have fun deciding on what to make! Customize each box depending on who you'll be surprising. What could be better than gifting your sweetie with homemade Valentine's Day gifts?!
