We have a secret to share with you, all of the cookies in our display are store bought. This helps save the host time and stress plus lets everyone get to the important part, sipping on pretty drinks and nibbling on cookies. We'll share how we easily decorated the cookies. We'll also share what item we carry that helps you rim cocktail glasses and helps keep the sugar on the rim!

You can find a variety of quality store bought cookies these days. To add interest to your display select different styles, shapes, colors and flavors. Store bought frosting was used to decorate many of the cookies as well. A little shimmer was added to some of the frosting flowers by gently painting on highlights using metallic gold and pearl white edible art paint.

A variety of smaller frosting tips were used to create the piped frosting flowers on the macarons, hazelnut wafer squares, sugar cookies and lemon cookie cakes. For the sugar cookies with pink ruffle roses a medium rose tip was used. A smaller rose frosting tip was used to make the aqua rose buds on the mini hazelnut wafer cookies. The macarons have a cute pink flower made using a medium size star frosting tip. And finally using a small leaf tip lets you add frosting leaves in mint green making the flowers look even more real.

I had the most fun creating our lemon cookie "cakes". I bought thin crisp lemon cookies and using a small star frosting tip I added swirls of frosting on the top of a cookie. Another cookie was added and that step was repeated until I added a 5th cookie to the stack. I decorated the top cookie with a variety of flowers in a free style pattern. A small writing frosting tip was used to add the tiny dot accents. Place you cookie cakes on a mini gold plate for the perfect presentation! These only took a few minutes to make and add some height to our cookie display.

If the bride has a favorite cocktail it would be nice to serve it at her Cookies and Cocktails Bridal Shower. Offer a signature cocktail along with some non alcoholic options. For our display we rimmed pretty glasses with shimmer gold sparkling sugar. Our secret to get the coarse sugar to stick to the rim of a glass is to use piping gel icing around the edge. In a small bowl add some gold sparkling sugar and lightly press the gel rimmed glass in the sugar until the rim is coated.

Add a pretty gold foil paper straw, cheers wooden drink stirrer and a rock candy stick for a pop of color. The rock candy sticks are great for adding a small strawberry to for garnish. I forgot the strawberries so we'll have to share with you some cocktail garnishing ideas another time!

Add some flair to your cocktails by making shaped ice cubes. We made gem ice cubes in our silicone gem candy mold. It worked perfectly and they popped out of the mold with ease. To add a pop of color add a frozen raspberry to the mold, add water and freeze. Keep frozen until serving.

If you are looking for a little something special to serve your guests we made easy no bake cheesecake cookie cups in aqua and pink and gold baking cups. I bet your guests will not suspect there is cheesecake in those pretty cups! Our unique serving tray is actually a magnet board made by Lori of Giggle Home Furnishings. She creates lovely handmade items that are perfect for dessert tables and events. Her board made the perfect serving tray for the top of our bar cart.

When styling a display it is nice to think of favors you can provide your guests. They can act as decor on your display until the end of your event. We decorated sugar cookies with cookie icing then added some of our Sprinklefetti sprinkle mixes. Once the cookies icing sets pack them in pretty flower cookie bags (coming to our shop soon) and close them with a mini clothespin.

Clear boxes with gold trim are perfect for packing up chocolates. I just happened to find some truffles that matched the color of our bridal shower providing another favor for our guests.

Another element that can make the shower display special is to include a print that can be given to the bride to be as a keepsake. This lovely Sweet Spring Watercolor Art Print from Mirabelle Creations was the perfect touch for our cookies and cocktails bridal shower.

Last but not least to give your display a pop of color and whimsy sprinkle it with confetti! The pink and gold Festive Fetti confetti was the perfect accent. Brenda of Festive Fetti is making color combinations and confetti mixes that are exclusively found in our shop!
