Easy Fourth of July Party Ideas

This week on Bakers Party Shop's Blog we're sharing some easy Fourth of July party ideas and tips with the help of Mayra of In Flight Ideas. Mayra created a fun graduation party for her daughter that included multiple party themes and we're highlighting her patriotic party displays for the 4th of July! We'll break down some of the ways she was able to make these displays simple and fun so you can create a memorable 4th of July party or patriotic celebration too!

Easy Fourth of July Party Ideas Tip 1: Use Fun Eco-Friendly Partyware

A simple way to add decoration to your table or display that serves two purposes is to use fun eco-friendly partyware. Splurge on cool printed paper straws. Not only are the eco-friendly they make sipping more fun too! Fill a fancy cup or vase with them and they are a useful party decoration. Pick out 2-3 pints and let your guest pick their style. You can use that same approach to the paper plates and napkins you choose. We offer a wide variety of party plates, napkins and cups. You can mix and match to create your own look. If you're on a budget choose one or two disposable partyware items that have a bold print so they stand out and use basic solid colored partyware that can be found at discount stores to fill in the rest.

Easy Fourth of July Party Ideas TIP 2: Use Sprinkles

Who says sprinkles are just for topping sweets and desserts?! For a pop of fun to your serving ware add some sprinkles! Place them on the bottom of the plate or tray and then stack on your sweets just like Mayra did with the Oreo cookies with our Sprinklefetti™ Patriotic Sprinkle Mix! Other fun way you can use sprinkles as party decorations is to add some to the bottom of a clear votive candle holder and then place the candle on top. If your party is an outdoor one it is a great way to make a votive citronella candle a bit more fun.

Easy Fourth of July Party Ideas TIP 3: Get Out the Stars and Stripes

Stars and stripes are kind of a given for fourth of July parties! Get creative and think outside of the box in how you use them. Decorate cupcakes with stars and stripes and summer berries for a festive and delicious look. A flag pattern can be created on the top of a cupcake by using a small star frosting tip and a rose frosting tip can be used to make stripes. Use a large open star frosting tip to create the perfect swirl of frosting that you can top with blueberries. Add your cupcakes to a fun serving tray and watch them be devoured!

Easy Fourth of July Party Ideas TIP 4: Offer Sugar Cookie Party Favors

Make your party planning easy! You don't have to do it all. Use a mix of store bought and homemade treats to serve your guest. Make some and support a local baker or bakery and order something special like decorated sugar cookies. The cookies can be served at the party or have them on a display with bakery bags so your guests can pack their own party favor. Have your baker use cookie cutters in a few different shapes to go with your party theme. Share some of the Sprinklefetti™ Patriotic Sprinkles Mix with them so your displays and sweets coordinate.
