Sweets on a stick are just fun right? For our candy corn rice krispies treat pops we used our wooden candy apple sticks. They are sturdy and look adorable with the candy corn shaped treats made using our candy corn cookie cutter

To create the look of candy corn we used a variety of sprinkles to create three different looks including jimmies, sparkling sugar and sanding sugar. Jimmies aka "sprinkles" are strand style sprinkles with a soft texture. If you want bright colors but not the crunch of other sprinkles then the candy corn jimmies sprinkles are your best bet. If you don't mind the crunch then sparkling sugar is a great option. It's a coarse sugar crystals and the candy corn sparkling sugar sprinkle set is a nice choice. If you are looking for softer colors and a shimmer effect our candy corn sanding sugar sprinkle set is just what you need! The sugar crystals are finer than sparkling sugar and the yellow in our candy corn sanding sugar sprinkle set is a little lighter than other yellow sprinkles we offer. You can pick the style sprinkle that works best for the look you want and who you are serving!

Candy Corn Rice Krispies Treat Pops

Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treat Recipe:
12 oz box rice crispy cereal
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
2 10.5 oz bags of mini marshmallows
2 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
1/4 tsp salt

Step 1: Line two 9" square baking pans with wax or parchment paper, then grease them with butter or non-stick cooking spray. In a large pot melt the butter over medium-high heat. Stir constantly until the butter begins to foam. Keep stirring and watch carefully for the first signs of the butter browning. Lower the heat and quickly add the marshmallows, stir constantly until they are completely melted.

NOTE: When using the brown butter method, your rice krispies treats will have a rich caramel flavor, especially when using good quality butter.

Step 2: Remove your pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla and salt, then add the cereal mixing until complete coated. Divide the mixture in half and press evenly into each pan. Cool completely before cutting out candy corn shapes with a greased cookie cutter.

Step 3: Carefully insert one of the wooden candy apple sticks about half way into the rice krispie pop, twist then pull the stick back out. To secure your treat to the stick, dip the pointed end in cookie icing, reinsert and allow to set. You could also use melted chocolate which sets faster.

Step 4: After all the candy corn rice krispie pops have their stick it's time to decorate! We used Betty Crocker White Cookie Icing. This is a glaze style icing that is easy to use for decorating your pops with pretty sprinkles making them look like candy corn. Start at the bottom and pipe the icing about one third of the way up. Outline first then fill the shape in with icing. Add the yellow sprinkle of your choice then repeat with the orange and white sprinkles for a traditional candy corn look. Allow the icing to set for a couple hours before moving or handling them.

TIP: When piping the icing to outline for each section of the candy corn stay a little away from the edge to keep the icing from falling over the edge as it sets.
